Resilient modulus and cumulative plastic strain of frozen silty clay under dynamic aircraft loading

Abstract This paper describes an investigation into the factors influencing resilient modulus and cumulative plastic strain of frozen silty clay. A series dynamic triaxial tests are conducted to analyze influence temperature, confining pressure, frequency, compaction degree on clay samples. The results show that when temperature is below − 5 °C, decreases linearly, whereas above according a power function. increases logarithmically frequency less than 2 Hz linearly once exceeds Hz. as pressure increase. research findings provide valuable information for design, construction, operation, maintenance, safety, management airport engineering in soil regions.
